STEP 12: Do First IRCTC Login To Verify Mobile And Email

In this step, you have to verify your email id and mobile number which you have provided in the account registration form.

Open login form available at and do the first login by entering your login id and password which you fill in the registration form.

Once your first IRCTC login is successful, you will be presented with the Mobile and Email Verification Process screen shown below.

You will be given options to verify the following:

1. ISD-Mobile

You will be given two options:
  • Edit Mobile
  • Verify Mobile with OTP
With "Edit Mobile" option you can edit your mobile number if you want to change it and with "Verify Mobile with OTP" option you can enter OTP you received on your mobile phone in SMS text like:

User Registration Successful. Your User Id is YourUsername. Mobile verification code is 738769

2. Email

Here also you will be given two options:
  • Edit Email
  • Verify Email Id with OTP
With the "Edit Email" option you can change your email id and with the "Verify Email Id with OTP" option you can enter the OTP received in your email from Following the type of email is sent by IRCTC on registration form submission.

Note: International/NRI users need to pay Registration fees on first login before verification of email and mobile number. Please note that the Registration fee for International/NRI users is Rs. 100 + GST.
